The current edition is mainly written to fulfil the need of Indian Medical Graduates to pursue the NMC’S new competency-based medical education (CBME) curriculum. Accordingly, a new section of Systemic Parasitology based on individual competencies comprising of individual systems, such as cardiovascular system, respiratory, central nervous systems, etc., have been added. At the end of each systemic chapter, there are few case-based studies with answers at the end of the section as per CBME. Many new photographs, CT scan, X-ray and USG images have been added in the past edition. In the current edition, many new MCQs, tables, flowcharts have been added for better comprehension of the subject.
