It is heartening to note that the 4th edition of “Diagnostic Procedures in Ophthalmology” was liked and well received by the readers. Thrilled and motivated by the response, the 5th edition of the book is launched. This edition of the book is dedicated to (Late) Dr HV Nema who edited the book for 20 long years. “If we diagnose common things, we are commonly correct; if we diagnose rare things, we are rarely correct”. Going by this dictum, four new chapters on common diagnostic procedures are added in this edition of book—Clinical Refraction, Vital Dyes and Stains in Ophthalmology, Multimodal Imaging in Posterior Segment Diseases, and Orbital Imaging.
